Salt Petal creates hummable melodies backed up by intricate rhythmic lines. Part lullaby, part classic rock tango, part slow cumbia punk, each composition breathes with a strange mix of the far away and the familiar. Pulling ideas from songs they grew up hearing in the backyards of Buenos Aires, San Francisco, and Guanajuato, Salt Petal melds a hand-made and panicked energy with the haunting melodic and rhythmic traditions of their hometowns.
